This sharing of cards from a central pile gives great strategic angle to the game, as the cards picked up by the player will have some influence on his/her victory or loss in the end.
Every round, a player may place further bets and use one or more cards from his/her 'community cards'. They may also 'fold', that is, give up all their cards and leave the game. The final round begins when there are two players left, that is, after all others have 'folded'. These two players are then required to show their cards. The player with the higher sum total of the numerical values of the displayed cards wins the game.
